There’s no place for me in corporate America. I had a steady job for 18 years which I walked away from to go full time with photography.

The quote “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,” is what I feel every time I’m behind my camera, capturing life’s moments.

Life is precious and short. Too many times I hear people say “I wish we would have gotten that family portrait” or “ I wish we would have hired a professional.” When those same people turn into clients, I absolutely adore the excitement on their faces when I show them an image on the back of my camera.

It makes me feel alive when I can share in their joy.

I positively know I have helped make a difference and created a lasting memory for them. I’ve had people come back to me years after a shoot and they recall an image I shot that means the world to them. I’ve never forgotten a single image. I believe every client deserves timeless images that become heirlooms to share with family and friends.

I feel solid and planted in what I do. My attention goes to details. I can calm the chaos on wedding day. I want the couples that I shoot to love their images for decades.

Communicating with all different types of people in all different types of situations is my secret sauce. From a gentle nod to the happy couple saying that their pose is perfect… to projecting my voice to the entire wedding party to get in formation for the big group shot… even though I’m 5’2” I have a 7’ tall voice…when needed ;-)

There are times when I have my camera in front of my face and I’m trying not to cry. “Calm your nerves”, I tell myself. It’s because I love my clients with all my being. I feel what they feel.

I live in the moment as much as they do.

Every single image we photograph evokes emotion. Not just for you, but for us as well. Our longevity in the wedding industry is invaluable and we love helping you plan your day so that the ONLY thing you have to do is embrace the day, soak up the love and just TOTALLY. BE. THERE.

I remember every image and, often, the thoughts and emotion I was feeling as I shot them. They are a constant reminder of not only why I love what I do, but just how important capturing these moments are to our clients.

I am reminded every single day why we love what we do and how photographing your weddings reinforces our personal relationship - not just as working wedding photographers - but as husband and wife as well!
