I remember when he called me to personally share my diagnosis of Hashimoto’s with me. He confirmed (in that beautiful Irish accent) that I - in fact - was not crazy and that he could help. He was more than a doctor- he was a friend to every patient. I keep thinking of him today and I’m very sad that he has left this earth and will no longer be with us to share his passion for medicine along with his many wonderful stories. He was a great listener - which made him an exceptional physician. He was a great man and wonderful doctor. He had been my endocrinologist for many years and the mold was broken when God made him. Not only very caring and kind, he took a very deep interest in all his patients. I had the honor of photographing him for a national publication — and on one of my visits he insisted on a “selfie”. RIP you gentle, dear soul. Dr. Sean Nolan, there will never be another like you. Sincere condolences to all his staff members and family who are certainly hurting today. .
