This time of year always puts me in the mood to head south! Celebrating the 1 year anniversary (soon) of two very special people who tied the knot in one of our favorite places! Last year we shot the destination wedding of our lifelong babysitter/house-sitter and good friend – and to double the pleasure, she and her fiance chose to marry in our favorite city; Key West! Nothing short of magical, Alexis and Frank had the perfect day followed by an amazing sunset. Looking for somewhere special to marry your sweetheart? We specialize in destination weddings and can help you plan all things wedding combined with travel. In honor of Alexis and Frank’s 1st Wedding Anniversary (coming up on April 4th), enjoy some wonderful Key West eye-candy…AND, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ALEXIS AND FRANK!! Well – our “Christmas” cards (I typically send New Year’s cards) are still sitting on my work desk. At this point they will either be considered really early 2015 cards or, St. Patrick’s Day cards – if I get them out this week, maybe Valentine’s cards. Uggh! Do you ever get the feeling that there just aren’t enough hours in the day?! I am openly apologizing to our friends and family. I didn’t ignore you this year – I am just terribly behind! Our eldest (Alan) has now reminded me four times that my web-site needs updated. So my first task is to make the New Year’s post, second to update the web-site and FINALLY, third, get the New Year’s Cards in the mail. Yup. I’m extremely behind OR really, really early for the next year. 🙂 Peace and Blessings everyone!
So far so good! The Weirton Madonna Blue Dons are undefeated and this was an important game for them. The face-off against Wheeling Central Catholic last year was a disappointment for the team – they hit the field with a vengance and proved themselves to be the phenomenal athletes that we have come to love and respect. These boys have HEART. To see all the photos from this exciting game, click here to go to the link.
Simonton Court (Key West, FL) turned out to be such a fabulous stay for us we booked our next visit before we checked out! Know anyone getting married in Key West in November? Send us a message – we may just have a fabulous deal for them 🙂
Here are a few more photos!
We’ve been coming to Key West 2-3 times per year for over 12 years now. We love it here! As you can imagine, we’ve stayed everywhere preferring the B&B experience as opposed to a hotel. We haven’t stayed in one we don’t like yet! However, worth a big mention, is where we are now; Simonton Court. We have walked through the property many times and marveled at the beauty as we were totally wrapped in tropical splendor. We knew we HAD to stay here. Upon our check in, we were greeted by Will. We definitely have to say, the staff here is incredible. Will and Ben were so helpful and all the employees are so nice – you truly feel like they love working here as much as we enjoy staying. Since I’m predominantly a wedding photographer, I have to mention that this little gem of a property would be a fabulous place for a small wedding. Coupled with the incredible staff and awesome property, it would create very special wedding memories.
Here are some photos – more coming!
I recently replaced our camera straps for custom designed straps with our new logo embroidered directly onto the strap. LOVE THEM! Sincere thanks to Jodie of Jodie’s Camera Straps for the beautiful workmanship! The strap is 2″ wide and fits comfortably – I wear it across my body rather than around my neck. Love it Jodie and thank you! Check out the images below…
The process of our new web-site, our Re-branding and Logo design began in September of last year and I am happy to say we are finally ALL done! Kudos to Peter Stern and Paul Stern of Wordfresh for our fabulous site and a big THANKS and happy sigh to Emily Mawbry of Sparrow Ink Design for the re-branding and logo design. I love, love, love my new logo and user friendly site [insert smiley face here!]. Paul was absolutely wonderful to work with – walked me through the process and even taught me a few things along the way as well. Without Emily, my design concept would still be stuck in my head. Emily not only helped me with that concept, but also had me write her a BOOK on myself, what I wanted out of my logo, my favorite color, what fonts I liked, etc. She asked me too about my personality and hobbies in order to get a general feel for who I am as a person in order to come up with exactly what was in my head! [How’d she get in there?!?!] Here are some photos of the new logo – and of course, if you are here, you’re already on the new site! Thank you so much Paul and Emily – I am a happy camper!
