Well, after 9 years (K-8) my 14 year old is ready to move on to High School. At his graduation ceremony – I figured if I was busy shooting the event I wouldn’t cry. Luckily, that tactic seemed to work and my tears were minimal. I am so proud of Matthew and the Mass was very nice and the celebration that followed was great! Congrats Matt!
While shooting weddings and seniors – etc – I rarely have the opportunity to experiment. SO……In an effort to continue getting to know my Canon 85mm 1.2 lens, I subjected our dear friends, Todd & Lisa, to a mini photo session. This lens is incredible! I also have a Canon 85mm 1.8 lens and although it’s a great piece to have in your bag, the 1.2 is light years ahead (and you pay for it too). Well worth the cost, you can pick up a used one on Ebay for about $1,000 less than a brand new one. Thanks Todd and Lisa [and my husband too] for being my victims!
We had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Holly and Eddie at Our Lady of Lourdes in Burgettstown, PA this weekend. We got so lucky with the weather! We’ve had a terrible stretch of constant rain and storms and Saturday was the nicest day we’ve had for weeks. I also got the opportunity to put my new Canon 85mm 1.2 lens to test and it was awesome. Their reception took place at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton, WV. We are becoming regulars there as we’ve shot several receptions there within the past few months. The food was delicious and their staff is very attentive. Here are some photos from the day!
